We started attaching the gears.
Our team had made a mistake last time by attaching the gears in the wrong place. We had to unscrew the all the gears and screws that we attached and moved them 1 box(space?) higher and reattached all of the gears and screws back on. Some of the rods that we attached were either too short or too long, so we changed some of the rods that didn’t fit the requirements. We weren’t able to completely attach the gears and the wheels onto the base that we created during day 1, but we were able to check if the gears actually moved with other gears, allowing the wheels to properly function. Next class, we’ll probably stabilize the wheels onto the actual base.

Today our team was taught how to make the H-shaped base. We have to experiment a bit to figure out how to attach the three long parts of the base together before we finally settled on one. We added standoffs on each end of the H-like base, using 8 in total. We were then told to add bearing flats for where the gears and wheels will go. We weren’t sure where to add them at first, so we ended up adding them one space too high. Therefore, we ended up having to take them apart and add them again in the correct spot. Due to that mistake, we weren’t able to get much progress today.
